Compare two groups of Internet users.

I think that men and women use the Internet with some similarities and differences. The similarities would be that both men and women check their email, do research and check their social networking websites such as facebook and myspace. A big difference is that women tend to do a lot more shopping on the Internet while men will most likely check their stat-tracker for football. Women are more likely to use the Internet to get something done while men are more likely to use it for entertainment.

Give an example of a copyright problem online.

I think that Facebook and Myspace both violate online copyright law . Both of these sites are personal web pages for individuals to share pictures and thoughts and also communicate with each other. The problem with these sites is that people are able to take any picture off the Internet and post it on their site. This means that people are sharing pictures that by law should not be posted publicly on a site. Along with this problem, people post song lyrics and quotes from publications without giving credit to those who deserve it.

Blog #1

The Internet is not a large part of my life. I only use the Internet in order to send emails and do school work. Occasionally I will use the Internet to research something that I need, such as where the closest vet is located. I would say that I use the Internet minimally. If I have to compare my usage of the Internet, I would compare it to my mother, Michelle because she the opposite of me when it comes to using the internet. While Michelle checks her email, she does almost everything else online as well. She looks manages her bank accounts, shops, and checks on medical problems to name a few. She is almost always on her computer. I am sure that she will soon be a follower of this very blog.
